They may not have landed their dream jobs alongside Sir Alan Sugar, but two of this year's Apprentice contestants appear to have found themselves a partner for life.

Philip Taylor and Kate Walsh have got engaged, according to The Sun.

Kate, 27, sported a diamond ring as she was pictured leaving a jeweller in London's Hatton Garden on Wednesday with beaming Phil, 29.

The couple fell in love during filming of the hit BBC show last year but split because they lived so far apart.

They rekindled the romance when the series aired and estate agent Phil now plans to move from Durham to London to house-hunt with runner-up Kate.

He has already met her parents in Staffordshire and is said to have been "welcomed into the family".

Phil was given the boot by Sir Alan after he devised a disastrous cereal box character called Pantsman.

Licensing development manager Kate came runner-up to hired Yasmina Siadatan.

She has since presented a slot on GMTV about women's office fashion this summer - with a view to having a regular position on the popular breakfast show.
