With news of an Alien prequel in the works, director Ridley Scott could do worse than hire Jennifer Hennessey if he's looking for a younger version of saga heroine Ripley.

Who she? you may ask.

Well, the British actress (and Sigourney Weaver lookalike) has cropped up in The Office and Doctor Who and can soon be seen in Coronation Street playing Dev's potential love interest, Bernie.

However, there's a chance Ripley won't even feature in the new movie.

Director Scott has suggested the new movie will take place 30 years before the events of Alien, so it's anyone's guess who will feature.

The Alien prequel is due for release in 2011, and Jennifer Hennessey pops up in Corrie on November 23.
