Colin Salmon is much in demand at the moment.

He's been hard at work filming new series Strike Back, with Mistresses star Shelley Conn and Robin Hood veteran Richard Armitage, as well as big screen offering The Best Years.

Colin also stars in Blood: The Last Vampire, which is out now on DVD.

"It's the first live action anime. It's nice to be involved in something like that," he explains.

Salmon admits he was really put through his paces while filming in Dali, China.

"It was hard work I've got to say. The two leading girls worked their socks off. I mean through rain, hell and high water."

He adds: "You grind it out in China. It's not a luxurious event, but we generated an incredible team that produced the goods I think."

That action packed movie also stars Michael Byrne, better known as Gail's dad Ted in Coronation Street.
