Q: If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be?
A: Maybe Robin Thicke, so he can sing to me. I really do melt when I hear his album.
Q: What is your biggest fear?
A: Spiders. I've been bitten twice and ended up in hospital, so I don't like them.
Q: Do you have any superstitions?
A: Just the normal little things that everyone does. Somebody told me if you pass the salt to someone, you have to put it down in front of them, it's bad luck to hand it to them. Or when you clink glasses, you have to look the other person in the eye. There's nothing I've got into a habit of doing before shows.
Q: If you could have only one song on your iPod, what would it be?
A: At the moment, I've just been playing Lost Without U by Robin Thicke over and over again. I love that album.
Q: What's the most expensive thing you've bought, not including property?
A: A ring I bought last year. A friend collects vintage jewellery and sells it on, but he'll only sell it to you if he thinks it suits you. I said 'Please, please let me try this ring on and keep it for a week, to see what happens.' People stopped me all over the place to ask about it, so I told him I had to have it! It was very expensive, but it was a gift to myself for doing The X Factor and it's been a bit of a lucky charm.
Q: What's the best piece of advice you've been given?
A: Don't forget to breathe. In any situation, just stop and take a breath.
Q: When was the last time you cried and why?
A: We were filming at the judges' homes for The X Factor last week, which is when I get given my category. There were six acts and I had to cut it down to three to go on the live show. It was really emotional, as it's the last chance to say to people 'No, you didn't make it through.' Even with the ones that did get through, I was just so happy for them, I cried.
Q: What's your indulgence?
A: Clothes and shoes - big time. I have a wardrobe that is busting open and I really have to do a clear out. I'm lucky because some people send me clothes and say 'We'd love you to wear our things', but other times I just see something and I can't help myself, I have to have it.
Q: How environmentally friendly are you?
A: I'm trying and I'm learning. In Australia, we seemed to have been doing a lot more on the recycling front before it came to England, but we're learning all the time and there's always more things you can do, or products you can buy that are less damaging to the environment.
Q: How many texts do you send in a day?
A: I wouldn't even know. I send messages all day long - it's the last thing I'm doing before I go to sleep, and as soon as I wake up, the BlackBerry goes on. It's addictive.
Q: Who's the most famous person in your mobile?
A: Probably Simon Cowell.
Q: What item could you not live without?
A: Definitely my BlackBerry, because it's my phone, it's got all my pictures in and my emails. I'm running around the world, so it's my lifeline to my family and my friends.
Q: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
A: I'd be taller - a lot taller. I'd like to know what it feels like to be tall.
Q: Where are you going on holiday?
A: I just got back from my holiday, I had two weeks in Ibiza. Some friends of mine DJ out there, so I was catching up them and having a good boogie on the dancefloor, and swimming. We had amazingly good weather and I went on this really silly thing called the Slingshot, which is sort of a reverse bungee jump. It was brilliant.
Q: What were you doing this time yesterday?
A: This time yesterday I was running around getting styling things organised for the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice awards. I'd only just got back into town, so I unpacked and had one day to get myself organised, so everything was ready to rock.
Q: What will you be doing this time tomorrow?
A: I think we'll be doing a dress rehearsal of the awards show.
