Emmerdale is an award-winning soap set in the fictional Yorkshire village of the same name with much of the action centred in and around the called the Wool pack pub.

First broadcast in 1972, Emmerdale did comparatively badly next to more popular soaps but this all changed with the infamous 'plane crash' episode of 1993

Finally making a decision between her feelings for Cain and her love of money, Charity swipes the access card and key and heads for the storage facility to steal his cash. However, Cain and Debbie have uncovered her scheme and are in hot pursuit, but she leaves with the money.

Cain is furious at having let himself start to trust her again after all the times she has let him down. When he discovers that Charity has been staying at Marlon's house he punches Marlon before threatening Charity, telling her to stay out of his and Debbie's lives.

Charity is genuinely upset, but Cain just grows even angrier when he sees her with the money, rubbing her face in it and telling her to take it and leave because it is the only thing she is getting from him.

However, when Charity tells a shocked Marlon and Chas that she has Cain's money, she reveals that she no longer wants to leave the village because the cash doesn't matter to her anymore and all she wants is to be with Cain and Debbie. Has she truly changed her ways?
