Using the TV guide
The Tiscali TV listings show you everything that's on in the next week, for over 150 digital TV and radio channels. It doesn't matter who your TV provider is, the guide can display all the channels you need at the click of a button.
Getting started
You can get to the interactive guide by using the "TV Listings" tab at the top of the page, by clicking the condensed version on the homepage, or via a "TV guide" link on tiscali.co.uk.
The guide will open to show you what is on TV right now - use the scrollbars to navigate up and down the channels to see what programmes are being broadcast. As you move around, the guide will highlight the programme you're currently looking at.
You can use the horizontal scrollbars to see the rest of the day, or if you have a particular time slot in mind, click on the time links to the right. Want to see what's on later this week? Simply click on what day you're interested in, and the guide will find the listings for you.
Programme information
As you look at the listings, you'll see that every programme has one or two colour codes. These are listed underneath, and should help give you an idea of what kind of show it is. If you see a programme that interests you, you can mouse over it and click for more information. A pop up box will give you some more in depth details, such as an episode summary, how long the show is, cast members and any other showings this week. Click the box again to close it.
You'll also find four buttons on the right hand side of each pop up. Using these, you can visit the full page for a particular show, add a programme to your favourites, set up a reminder or add the programme to your personal planner.
When you click on a programme in the guide, you may notice that sometimes the video player starts to show you something new. This is because the guide has found a trailer related to that show which you may be interested in seeing.
Channels on the TV listings
The first time you use the guide, a default set of channels will be displayed. You don't have to keep them though; you can change what you see by using the "Change settings" button. If this is what you want to do, you can find out more about changing your settings. Searching the listings
There are two ways to search the guide for programmes. First, if you know exactly what you're looking for, you can use the search box underneath the listings. Just enter the name of a show, press "Search" and the guide will try and find it for you in the next week. Alternatively, you can use the different categories to find something you'd like to watch. Click on a category, and all the shows that fall under that type will be displayed in the search box.
Once the search results appear, you can scroll through them to find what you want. Clicking on a result will take you to that show, on that day, in the listings. From there, you can access all the information and options just like normal.
