UK Tours - Snowdonia

Snowdonia

The richly varied landscape of this part of North Wales is really special: around Snowdon rise the highest peaks (and many would claim the most dramatic ones) in Wales or England. By car it can slip past tantalisingly quickly, so this zigzagging tour takes you in and out of the mountains, with recommendations for some walks on the way.

On the coast the towns of Caernarfon and Conwy each have magnificent castles, and our favourite beach hereabouts is just west of Porthmadog (there's another good one just off the route at Llandudno). Throughout the area are plenty of rewarding family attractions, including picturesque railways (with steam as well as diesel services), slate mines, gardens, country houses and even power stations.
