Valencia has changed dramatically in the last twenty years. Having established itself as the third most important city in Spain, Valencia has been home to the 32nd America's Cup and is getting prepared for the 33rd - one of the most important sailing events in the world. Other major sporting events include the European Grand Prix on the 24th of August 2008 and the Motorcycling Grand Prix on the 26th October 2008.
Sporting events aside, if you're just looking to book a cheap flight and visit a city with traditional Spanish charm, historical sites with lots of delicious eateries and delightful boutique hotels or more grander residences - then visit Valencia before everyone else in Europe knows about it.
