At £500, Sony's Giga Juke might seem somewhat expensive for a hi-fi, but it can store 40,000 tracks internally, and its great CD player, DAB tuner and fantastic sound quality make it a very appealing option

We Like: Sound quality; 40,000-song storage; screen; analogue source ripping; built-in Gracenote; DAB

We Don't Like: Price; hard disk could be larger for the cost; limited codec support

Accessories: Headphones

Judgement: The Giga Juke 50HDE is a fantastic, feature-packed system. The problem lies in the price, but if you want 40,000 songs in a hi-fi, one-touch ripping and excellent sound quality, it's just about worth it
