You'll find the gesture-based navigation system from Samsung's YP-P2 refreshing. Navigating the stylishly-animated menu simply takes a stroke of your finger. You'll find impressive Bluetooth and FM radio as well as video playback, so we think you'll be gesturing with a thumbs up

We Like: Sound quality; design; price; Bluetooth capabilities; large screen; high-quality video; easy to use; podcast support; drag and drop functionality

We Don't Like: Very few audio and video formats supported; bundled video conversion software is rubbish; no Audible support

Accessories: Better earphones

Judgement: The Samsung YP-P2 is a well-designed player and distinctly affordable for what it does. The only problem is that what it does just isn't as impressive as it could be. It sounds great and it's easy to use, but the lack of support for audio and video formats seriously hinders just how attractive an alternative this is to players from Cowon and Apple
