Philips Streamium WACS7500

Philips Streamium WACS7500
Philips Streamium WACS7500 - (MP3 & Digital Music)

Score: 7.2

If you're in the market for a straightforward system that streams your PC's music around your home, the Philips Streamium WACS7500 is certainly worth a closer look. It's comprised of a central jukebox with speakers and a hard drive, and a smaller speaker unit for another room

We Like: Easy to use and set up; decent Wi-Fi functionality; improved display; simple navigation; built-in CD database

We Don't Like: A little expensive; small hard drive; very slow performance; occasional network issues; lack of codec support

Accessories: iPod; stereo audio cable

Judgement: A system with great potential but severely let down by poor codec support and extremely slow CD ripping and network performance. That said, it's unique in its abilities as a complete package and if you want a one-stop networked audio solution for multiple rooms, you're certain to overlook the negative aspects of the system
