Considering its low price, the Samsung L830 offers a lot of camera for experienced, budget-minded photographers. It gives snappers manual exposure modes and colour channel controls, plus a handful of scene presets and automatic shooting, so you can be as hands-on as you want

We Like: Manual exposure mode and colour channel controls; face-detection mode; basic camera functions are easy to access

We Don't Like: No aperture/shutter priority; noisy pictures

Judgement: The Samsung L830 is a compact 8-megapixel camera that offers plenty of manual controls, but its sluggish shooting and disappointing picture quality hold it back
