Nikon D60

Nikon D60
Nikon D60 - (Digital Cameras)

Score: 7.2

Nikon's D60 is a good example of the current breed of entry-level dSLRs. With physical controls similar to that of a compact camera, this dSLR pumps up the features, allowing you to tweak your images in the camera, from fixing exposure and red-eye reduction to adding saturation

We Like: Optically stabilised 18-55mm kit lens; convenient onscreen user interface; compatible with a wide variety of lenses and accessories

We Don't Like: Pricey for what it offers; lens-based image stabilisation is less flexible than sensor-shift offered by some competitors

Accessories: Includes AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED lens

Judgement: Despite modest improvements in performance and a couple of new features, Nikon's D60 fails to impress and costs more than some competing models
