Watch The Speed
Don't purchase the fastest drive available just because you can. Drives that record at high speeds are prone to errors unless the other components on your PC can adequately meet their demands. Slapping a speedy new recorder into an aging PC is a surefire recipe for creating unusable recordings that are riddled with errors.
Blank Media
There are lots of different types of CD media in the market with varying quality and speeds. The media of choice is A Grade media - this is the highest quality media and will have less imperfections than other grades.
