Initial fears were that Rogers, who has been in sensational form in 2004 - racking up 78 points in just three matches, would be out for the season, but scans ’merely’ confirmed an ankle sprain.
And after their arrival in Cape Town on Sunday, ahead of their Round Four encounter with the Stormers on Saturday, Rogers continued to undergo treatment for the injury.
Rogers iced his injury while the rest of the touring squad played cricket as part of the post-flight recovery process.
"It’s really important to be active on the first morning over here and I think the players really enjoyed themselves too," coach Ewen McKenzie said.
Prop Matt Dunning was able to bowl with his right arm with no impact on his injured left shoulder which continues to improve.
NSW selectors hope to finalise their line-up on Thursday. Copyright Planet-Rugby.com |
