Ryan Constable retires from rugby

The 32-year-old Constable was born in Durban, but raised in Queensland. He played for Australia at Under-21 level, captained the national Sevens team for two years and played in one Test - against Ireland in 1994.

A big, strong centre he did much to help Ulster win the Celtic Cup this season. Before coming to Ulster in 2001, he played for English club Saracens.

After a holiday in Australia, Constable will return to Ulster to pursue his business interests with Cornerflag Ltd.
