And the winner is...
The £8.99 Belgian triple chocolate egg from Tesco saw off competition from a number of luxury chocolatiers in a range of tests conducted by the Good Housekeeping Institute.
More than 20 chocolate experts and tasters ate their way through 33 eggs to find the best buy this Easter.
Whilst Hotel Chocolat, Thorntons and Prestat, all had luxury eggs costing £20 or more tested, it was the cheaper creation by Tesco that took first prize, with a score of 78 out of 100.
As well as announcing an overall winner, the survey by the Good Housekeeping Institute to find the best Easter egg also awarded a number of runner-up places.
