Getting started with Tiscali Netphone
Netphone has been designed to be as easy to use as possible, but to help you get started, we've created a quick start guide to help you with the common tasks.

Sending a Text MessageOne of the great things about Netphone is that you can send text messages as if they were sent from your mobile. To do this you will need to tell Netphone your phone number, which can be done as follows:
Click on the text messaging icon at the top of the Netphone window and then on the setup tab at the bottom of the text messaging window. In the panel that appears, enter your own mobile number in the space provided (you don't need the +44 for UK numbers) and click Add Number. A few moments later, you will receive an activation code on your mobile — simply enter the activation code by your mobile number on the setup panel and click Activate. Your mobile number will now appear in the From list when sending a text message.
If you want to send a message as if it were from your mobile, select your number in the From list. Don't worry if you have more than one mobile — you can setup multiple numbers. If the recipient replies to the text message, it will automatically be sent straight to the mobile number you 'sent' the message from!
Sending a Fax
To send a fax with Netphone you can either type a phone number into the To box or pick a contact
from your Windows address book by click either on To or the 
icon.
To pick the document you want to fax, click the Browse… button to find the file on your computer. Once you've entered a number and a fax, just click Send and the fax will be on its way. For details on fax charges, please see the tariff.
How do I pay for calls?
Faxes and texts are charged in a very similar way to pre-pay mobiles — you just buy some credit by clicking on the recharge icon. Each time you send a text or a fax, the cost is deducted from your prepay credit.
You can pay for credit using Visa or Mastercard.
