Nouns: formation of plurals For most nouns, the singular ending changes as follows:
note: nouns ending in e can be either masculine
note: most nouns ending in co and go become chi and ghi in
fem. sing. fem. plur. example
note: nouns ending in ca and ga become che and ghe in the plural to keep the c and g hard sounding. Nouns ending in cia and gia often becomes ce and ge to keep the c and g soft sounding. |
