Tree Slug Tree Slug
Limax marginatus
Length up to 7cm

A rather pale and translucent-looking slug. Body colour pale greyish buff but marked with two dark lines on both sides of body from mantle to tail. As name suggests, climbs trees, usually in wet weather. Produces copious quantities of watery mucus when disturbed. Widespread in woodland in W Britain and Ireland.
