Leopard Slug Leopard Slug
Limax maximus
Length up to 16cm

A large and well-marked slug. Ground colour of body usually pinkish grey but is covered with numerous dark blotches and spots. Has pronounced keel running along rear part of body to tail. Mucus sticky and colourless. Sole whitish. Widespread and common throughout most of Britain and Ireland. Favours woodland and gardens.
