Lemon Slug Lemon Slug
Limax tenellus
Length up to 4cm

A small, bright yellow slug with dark tentacles. A distinctly scarce species, always associated with woodland and a good indicator of ancient sites. Extremely local in England, Wales and Scotland and absent from Ireland. Very difficult to find except in late summer and early autumn when usually seen feeding on fungi.
