Familiar insect of house and garden with transparent, well-veined wings. Found among vegetation during summer months and attracted to lighted windows. In autumn, often comes indoors to hibernate, turning from green to pink. Larva feeds mainly on aphids and creates camouflaged home from their empty skins.
