One of our largest caddis flies and a species which sometimes comes to light. Widespread and perhaps commonest in N and W regions. Wings are marbled brown and buff; female has broken black line on forewing. Larva builds case made from leaves, stems and other plant material, arranged spirally to form a cylinder.
