A common caddis fly; widespread in a wide range of waterbodies from ponds to slow-flowing stretches of chalk streams and watercress beds. Larval case constructed from stems and leaf stalks of water plants. Considering size of case, larva is fairly agile. Adults have mottled brown, rather narrow forewings.
