Heath Grasshopper

Body length 15-18mm

Known only from heaths in Dorset and New Forest. Superficially similar to common field grasshopper but usually mottled grey. Black wedge markings on pronotum reach hind edge. Favours clumps of ling into which it retreats if alarmed.
