Field Mushroom
Agaricus campestris
Height up to 8cm

Familiar mushroom of pastures and grassland generally, appearing July­October. Cap is pale buffish brown and gills pink at first but darken brown. Flesh smells mushroomy. Stem has ring which is easily lost. Widespread and locally common.
