Height up to 80cm

Perennial of open woods and heath. Only in the New Forest, but there locally common, often under bracken. Grey-green, narrow, grass-like leaves are easy to overlook when flowers absent. 3­8 pink-purple flowers, 30­40mm across, in spikes June­July.
