Prunella vulgaris
Height up to 20cm

Creeping, downy perennial of short grassland and woodland rides on calcareous or neutral soils. Widespread and common throughout. Leaves are paired and oval. The blue-violet flowers are borne in dense clusters, on leafy stems, June­October.
