Height up to 60cm

Robust, roughly hairy annual. Widespread on stabilised shingle, sand dunes and coastal grassland but commonest in S and W. Lower leaves pinnately divided but upper ones narrow and entire. Yellow flowers appear May­July. Seed pods beaded.
