Sanguisorba minor
Height up to 35cm

Locally common perennial of calcareous grassland; absent from N Scotland. The pinnate leaves comprise 4­12 pairs of rounded, toothed leaflets; basal leaves in a rosette. Rounded flower heads appear May­September; green with red styles.
