Rough Clover
Trifolium scabrum
Height up to 15cm

Downy annual of bare grassland, often on gravelly soils. Locally common in S England and S Wales but mainly coastal. Trefoil leaves have oval leaflets with obvious lateral veins. White flowers are borne in unstalked heads, May­July.
