Rock Goby
Gobius paganellus
Length up to 19cm

A large-headed fish of rocky shores around coasts of Britain and Ireland. Often found among seaweed and stones at low tide and frequently trapped in rock pools at low tide. Characteristically has dark bands along length of otherwise usually pale brown body. Can be very difficult to see among rocks until it moves.
