The reflected light from an object placed in front of a concave mirror will form a real image. The reflected light rays join together at a point called the image position, where the rays converge and intersect. A background screen is positioned beyond the image position to display the reflected light rays. The image formed on the screen is a real image and it is upside down (inverted).
White stands for the snowy peaks of the Andes. Red symbolizes the blood shed by the freedom fighters. Blue represents the clear Andean skies. Effective date: c. 18 October 1817.
