Thorpe, Graham Paul

English cricketer. A reliable and consistent left-handed batsman, he began his Test career in 1993 with a century against Australia. In November 1998, he scored 223 not out for England against South Australia in Adelaide, Australia. His 377-run unbeaten partnership with Mark Ramprakash (who contributed 140 not out) was a record for any wicket by a touring team in Australia.

During the first Test against Pakistan in November 2000, he became the first person in Test history to strike only a single boundary on his way to a hundred.
