Internet Explorer


In computing, Web browser created by Microsoft in 1995 to compete with Netscape Navigator. Internet Explorer is given away free by Microsoft and bundled with its Windows program. This has been one of the issues under contention between Microsoft and the US Justice Department. In 2007, about half of all Internet access was conducted through Internet Explorer.
