Area that is of special interest or appeal to tourists. At peak times, honeypot sites may become crowded and congested, and noise and litter may eventually spoil such areas. Examples include viewpoints, museums, and even car parks.
Some developing world countries, such as Kenya, have encouraged the development of honeypot sites in order to earn extra income. These areas often have facilities that are not found elsewhere in the country.
