Marble Arch

Triumphal arch in London in the style of the Arch of Constantine. It was designed by John Nash and John Flaxman (1755–1826) in 1828 to commemorate Nelson's and Wellington's victories, and was originally intended as a ceremonial entry to Buckingham Palace. In 1851, after the completion of Buckingham Palace, it was moved by Edward Blore to the northeast corner of Hyde Park at the end of Oxford Street.
