hopefully
Most people now accept the use of hopefully to mean 'it is hoped (that)'. In this sense it is separated from the rest of the sentence by commas, and often comes before the part it refers to: They are saving hopefully to buy a house means that they are saving their money in a spirit of hope, looking forward to their own home; hopefully, they are saving, or they are saving, hopefully, to buy a house means that the speaker hopes that they intend to use the money to buy a house, and not for some other purpose.
