National Grid for Learning
UK government initiative, launced by prime minister Tony Blair in 1998, to provide both school teachers and their pupils with up-to-date educational materials via the Internet. The British Educational Communications and Technology Agency, which funded and managed the initiative, brought it to a close in 2006.
