mail reflector
E-mail address that acts as an alias, redistributing all mail received to another address or to a mailing list. Individuals use mail reflectors to hide their true identities or to forward messages following a change of e-mail address.
The same method can be used to address a particular group of people – for example, Bloggs College might create mail reflectors for all staff (staff@bloggs.ac.uk), for students (students@bloggs.ac.uk), former students (alumni@bloggs.ac.uk), and so on.
