TEX
(Pronounced ‘tek’) public domain text formatting and typesetting system, developed by Donald Knuth and widely used for producing mathematical and technical documents. Unlike desktop publishing applications, TEX is not WYSIWYG, although in some implementations a screen preview of pages is possible.
