Free additional channels available via your aerial
Digital Terrestrial TV (DTT) channels can be viewed through your aerial alongside your Tiscali TV channels.
Also, by tunning your set top box to receive these new free DTT channels you will get local news and any regional programmes for your area. These will appear in your EPG after you have set up the DTT channels as below.
Can I receive these new channels?
In order to view the DTT channels you must have:
1. An aerial that can detect full strength DTT broadcast signals (the strength of your signal will be indicated while you perform the scan by following the instructions opposite).
2. Live in an area that can receive digital channels (To check, visit: http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/).
Please note: The quality of signal can be affected by a combination of factors (listed below), which may mean you are unable to receive some or all of the channels above.
- You live in a block of flats
- You have an indoor aerial
- You have a poor roof top aerial
- You live in a very built up areas
How do I install the free DTT channels?
Step 1: Plug your TV aerial into the back of your Telsey set top box.
Step 2: Press 'My TV' on your remote control and then scroll to 'TV Settings'.
Step 3: Select 'DTT Scanning' and press OK.
Step 4: A screen will then appear showing which channels you can receive via your aerial (DTT).
Step 5: Go back to EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) aand you can now select and view the DTT channels.
If you unplug the aerial at any time you may need to follow this process again.
If at any time you wish to check if you are watching a channel via DTT or your broadband line, press the I+ button on your remote.
The blue button on your remote will show you signal strength when watching DTT channels.
