Tiscali+ PVR voted best product design 2008 in worldwide competition
Tiscali, the broadband, telephone and media company, is pleased to announce that its Tiscali+ PVR has been awarded a prestigious 'red dot' quality seal for its innovative and high-quality design. Of this year's 3,203 submissions from 51 different countries, this marks the highest level of distinction, conferred only to products deemed exceptional in terms of creativity, innovation and quality.
Red dot (www.red-dot.de) is one of the most renowned and highly regarded international design competitions worldwide. An international jury of design experts examined and tested each product, assessing them according to criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, longevity, ecological compatibility and clarity of function, with the Tiscali+ PVR box excelling in all categories.
Marco Giusti, Creative Director, Tiscali, says: "It's important that the quality of our customers' experience as Tiscali TV viewers is reflected in everything we do, which is why we have gone to great lengths to make sure the Tiscali+ PVR looks, feels and functions to the highest standards. This red dot quality seal is a richly deserved testament to the hard work and creative excellence of the Tiscali design team."
The 'red dot award: product design' awards ceremony will take place on 23 June at Essen Opera House, Germany, where over 1,000 international guests are expected to gather from across the design, arts, business and political backgrounds.
