Tiscali, the broadband, telephone and media company, today announces the launch of the Tiscali+ personal video recorder (PVR), delivering a significant enhancement in viewer control for Tiscali TV customers. Tiscali+ provides an upgrade and additional features to the existing set-top box. In conjunction with the current library of on-demand content including a catalogue of over 1,000 movies, BBC Replay, 4OD, and favourites such as Lost and Desperate Housewives, the PVR offers the ability to pause, record and rewind live TV, giving subscribers unprecedented control over their TV viewing habits and choices.

The Tiscali+ PVR comes with three digital tuners (two digital terrestrial and one DSL), enabling users to record two programmes at a time while watching a third channel, or record three channels while watching a fourth recorded programme.

The 50 hour hard drive and the ability to record a programme or complete series at the press of a button, ensure that Tiscali+ more than meets user expectations, while personalised recordings for every member of the household ensure that each family member can easily access programmes that they have recorded.

Giving customers an opportunity to decide on how they would like to pay, the HD Ready PVR will be available at one-off charge of £50, or a monthly £5 subscription fee, to any home that can receive Tiscali TV.
