Tiscali Press Release - On Demand Entertainment Awards

Tiscali, the broadband, telephone and media company, today announces plans to create and host the first annual Tiscali On Demand Entertainment Awards, to be held later this year. The awards will highlight and reward individuals and organisations across a wide range of creative processes responsible for pioneering, developing and bringing to life On Demand Entertainment viewing across TV, web and mobile technologies, the awards will recognise achievements across drama, comedy, movies, music, sport, factual and kids programming, with all content eligible for entry as long as it can be consumed on demand.

Platforms, producers and distributors will be recognised for their contribution to progression of on-demand viewing, with categories acknowledging technical and creative innovation leading to advances in understanding, adoption and uptake of on-demand content.

A combination of industry experts and public votes will decide the winners and the awards will be held in London in November.
