Technology offers high-level real-time security
Tiscali, the broadband, telephone and media company, today announces the launch of Tiscali SpyGuard, proactive anti-spyware technology designed to detect and defeat known and unknown threats before they cause harm to PCs. Tiscali SpyGuard is available to anyone with a broadband connection at www.tiscali.co.uk/spyguard.
Tiscali SpyGuard uses Active Malware Defence Technology (Active MDT) to recognise 'unusual' behaviour by common PC applications and to respond appropriately.
Tiscali SpyGuard offers identity protection for internet users. The software detects malware activity including Trojan viruses, key loggers, silent backdoor and rootkit attacks. While most signature-based systems can identify known threats quickly, the analysis and response can take at least a few hours, giving the threat time to affect the user's PC. In comparison, SpyGuard offers fast, intelligent, real-time analysis which can remove malware and spyware before it gets the chance to attack. It also records malware behaviour patterns to prevent the reinstallation of threats. Tiscali SpyGuard assures PC users of excellent real-time security that plugs the gaps left by many free software packages.
SpyGuard is available from www.tiscali.co.uk/spyguard for just £19.95 a year. At 25% off RRP, this represents a great saving for internet users. If users buy a copy before 14 August, they will get two licenses for Spyguard for the price of one, a saving of nearly £40 on RRP.
Alex Hole, Online Media Director for Tiscali UK says: "Security is a major concern for all Internet users, and we are pleased to offer such an innovative product that will allow all broadband users to get the highest level of real-time security possible. Tiscali is one of the first ISP’s to offer this type of anti-spyware tool, and it will work well in tandem with existing signature-based security systems. SpyGuard also provides an ideal supplement to free anti-virus packages which are rarely updated."
