Tiscali Press Release - Tiscali TV Adds Sky Basic Channels to its Offering

Over 80 channels including Sky 1 now available to five million homes

Broadband, telephone and media company Tiscali today announces that its new TV service is now available to almost five million homes in the UK, rising to 10 million by the end of the year.

For the first time Tiscali TV services will be available outside London and Stevenage in Central, North and North West of England as well as the M25 ring. Cities where telephone exchanges have been enabled and support services are ready include Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Leicester, Liverpool, Salford and Warrington, with locations in the North East and Scotland added from October.

As part of the national rollout Tiscali also launches its new TV packages and a £5 TV Variety Pack with over 50 digital channels including all BBC, ITV, 4 and Five channels as well as Sky 1,2,3 and Sky Arts, Sky News, Sky Sports News and Paramount Comedy 1 and 2. The TV Variety Pack also includes Replay from BBC and 4, free on demand TV series and access to over 1000 on demand, pay per view movies.

There are three additional TV packs for £6 each, the Entertainment Extra Mix with 15 more channels and a huge amount of on demand TV series included, the Kids Mix and the Music Mix. Additional pay TV subscription services include Sky Sports1, 2 and 3, Sky Movies, Picture Box and Adult channels.

Where available, existing Tiscali broadband customers will be able to upgrade to TV with a free set top box, free wireless modem and free installation. New customers also get a free set top box, free wireless modem and pay £30 for installation.

Tiscali CEO Mary Turner says: "By Christmas 2007 Tiscali TV will reach almost 10 million homes and we believe we can offer great value digital TV and the best value Triple Play service in the UK for those who don't want to pay for expensive premium TV, but do want more than Freeview."

The Tiscali triple play packages start at £19.99 for 2Mb broadband, TV Variety Pack and inclusive telephone line rental with free weekend calls to UK landlines and ten top international countries. For £24.99 customers can receive the same TV package and line rental, unlimited call to UK landlines and ten top international countries, plus up to 8Mb broadband.

Alternatively, customers can still choose from very attractive broadband or broadband and phone packages. 2Mb broadband alone now starts at £7.49 a month for three months, rising to £14.99 a month. Double play 2Mb broadband with inclusive telephone line rental and free weekend calls to UK landlines and ten top international countries, now starts at £14.99.
