Tiscali launches upgraded Webmail service in the UK
Tiscali the telephone, broadband and media company, today announces the release of its newly upgraded Webmail platform which has undergone a major transformation to now provide a safer and more responsive service that more easily integrates with other Tiscali services. Following customer feedback, the Tiscali Webmail platform now offers increased functionality and a fresher look and feel.
The redesigned dashboard on the Webmail platform enables users to more easily integrate additional Tiscali services. Once users have logged in they can not only check their email but also update their personal and shared calendars, manage their contacts, use Netphone to send texts and access other Tiscali products and services. For the forgetful user there is even a function that lets you send yourself, or other people, reminders of important dates and events - you can even choose the delivery date so you'll never miss a birthday or anniversary again.
The dashboard will continue to be developed in the coming months to accommodate even more features such as photo sharing and blogging.
Users also now have the ability to compose and manage html as well as plain text emails. With a single click users can format the text, add colour, pictures, user-friendly hypertext links and bulleted and numbered lists to their emails, giving users a way to express themselves in ways that they have not been able to before.
Alex Hole head of online at Tiscali, says: "We take our customer feedback very seriously and our upgraded Webmail platform shows key improvements and additional features that customers have been asking for. We have already had very positive feedback from customers who like the new look and feel and find the system more responsive than ever."
With email security an ever-increasing worry for email users, Tiscali is also improving the level of security on the Webmail platform. Customers will soon have the option of encrypting their credentials when they log in to ensure that their personal details are sent back to Tiscali in a secure environment.
All Tiscali access customers and website members automatically have access to the new service. Non Tiscali access customers can go to www.tiscali.co.uk, click on login and then click on 'Free Webmail sign up'.
