Tiscali, the internet and broadband company, today announces the four finalists in its 2006 Raindance Short Film Award. For the next ten days visitors to the Tiscali portal will be able to cast their vote to determine this year's winner.
Each film submitted is by a first-time filmmaker and the subjects display the creative range and versatility of the directors of tomorrow. Clocking in at less than ten minutes per film, the shortlisted four movies range from comedy to thriller with two live and two animations making the cut.
Portal director and editor Richard Ayers says: "This is a popular vote, so we encourage everyone to go online and vote for their favourite. The winner will not only get a coveted Raindance award but will also get £1000 to kick-start their next project."
